Why do we need Mahal Social?

I’m a born and raised New Yorker and I’ve lived here most of my life. I’m now a 30-something, mom of two and I just found my first hijabbi friendly hair salon that actually makes me feel pampered.

I think that’s wild, don’t you?

I’ve heard versions of this story from so many other hijabbis and Muslim women.

And it’s not just hair care. How many times have you gone to a nail salon to get a pedicure and went home because there was a man in there?

Or, had to compromise your form at the gym because there were men behind you?

That’s why I started Mahal Social Club. I’m not a gatekeeper. I want to bring all the hijabbi friendly and women-only services I found to other women like me.

When they don’t exist I want to create them for you, in beautiful, functional and elevated spaces.

Become a member today. Memberships are free and required to buy tickets for events to protect the privacy and sanctity of these spaces. (Plus members will find out about events first! Events are intentionally intimate to ensure we can provide a premium experience for everyone, so getting a ticket fast and first is key.)
